Resistance
Using a descriptive attitude when describing my artifact I generate a long list of keywords + then reduce into a clustered poem. (Figure 2.1)
I then sense into a more embodied, gestural process. My companion photographs resonant/dissonant moments + a second companion keeps an emergent trail-map. The map is a useful way of revisiting fleeting, resonant responsiveness + content-in-process eg. making a fist motion when rolling clay + feeling dissonance to synthetic clay when rubbing it into my forearm. These moments were noted + became key elements within the clusters for the week ahead. (Figures 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5).
Along with a co-inquirer we amplify the fist gesture + paint streaks up each others arms. I notice other inquirers also have paint streaks on their arms, the power of synchronicity in an intersubjective field! (Figure 2.6).
My heightened awareness of key elements (fist, resist, threads) means when I read of Lidia Thorpe standing up to empire with her fist raised, I immediately take a screen capture + note her bravery in my journal (Figures 2.7, 2.8).
